Would you believe it if I told you that I didn’t celebrate Halloween until I was 10 years old? It’s crazy just thinking about it! But I’ll never forget my first Halloween trick or treating. It was a last minute decision thanks to some persuasion by a family friend, so I threw on a jean jacket full of buttons, parted my hair on the side, put on tons of makeup and went out as a peace-loving hippie! I went door to door and belted out the entire tune of “Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat…” It wasn’t until the 10th or 15th house that I realized that we could just knock and say “Trick or treat” instead of singing the entire song. Regardless, it was an amazing night and I had the candy to prove it.<\/p>\n
