Somehow it happened. Somehow, my son, who was born just YESTERDAY, celebrated his fifth birthday party a few weeks ago. Don’t ask me to explain it, but it’s true. You’ll just have to take my word for it.

To further prove that he’s growing up way too quickly for my liking, he chose a very cool theme for his birthday party. Much to my and my father’s (a huge Star Wars fan and collectible enthusiast) joy, he wanted to do a Star Wars theme for his party. Here’s the amazing invite created by Lisa Pomroy

We held Kyle’s birthday party at an indoor playground which may have a wet pour rubber surfacing, where we also happened to have celebrated his second birthday. It’s a perfect place to allow 5 and 6 year old kids to run around and have fun.

If you live in Toronto, I would highly recommend Playground Paradise as it’s city run and extremely affordable compared to private-owned indoor playgrounds, it’s super safe and clean, they constantly get Wetpour Maintenance. You can host up to 25 kids and have a total of 40 people. For a private-party, you get access to the playground for one hour and the party room for two hours. For all your playground markings needs, consider hiring Thermoplastic Playground Markings.

While the kids slid and jumped and climbed and used up all of their energy, my mom and I were busy preparing the room.

We fed the kids (and adults) pizza lunch and for dessert we enjoyed cupcakes and cake.

I got these awesome Star Wars themed cupcakes (from Longos), where the topper is a Star Wars character ring.
