The other day my five year old son Kyle asked my husband and I if he could have a dance party with one of his friends at 10:30 at night. Apparently, they decided this in class earlier in the day. I thought it was so cute but then I reminded him that his bed time is at 7:30, so it’s unlikely going to happen any time soon.

Having dance parties is not something new for us. We often break out our dance moves in the kitchen when we’re making a meal or sometimes in the living room when we have the music playing and one of our favourite tunes come on. I have no idea where my son got his moves from (definitely not my husband), but he’s a natural dance breaker. He loves getting right down on the floor, spinning and criss-crossing over his feet. It’s really cute to watch and even more amazing that he came up with the moves on his own.

Yesterday I was introduce to a fun new toy for my kids. Except, it’s more than just a toy. BeatBo is going to be your kid’s best new friend and dancing companion. My two and a half year old son loved playing and dancing with BeatBo. He plays fun songs and has his own cute dance moves too. You can even record a phrase and BeatBo will remix it into his favorite song. It was cute hearing my one year old’s babbling incorporated into a song. My two year old had so much fun dancing together with BeatBo:
