I want to hold on to this age forever for lots of reasons. \u00a0Mostly because I&#8217;m not ready to let go of the baby stage FOREVER but also because Nathan is at such a sweet age.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-7175\" src=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_20150803_124105-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Nate 11 months\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_20150803_124105-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/IMG_20150803_124105-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nate marches to the beat of his own drum. He was born within an hour of my arrival at the hospital even though I clearly had plans to get an epidural and rest for a few hours before I was ready to push. He slept better without a swaddle and he refused to use a pacifier which were both new territories for us compared to our oldest sons Kyle and Ryan.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-7173\" src=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150810_102401-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Nate Kyle Ryan\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150810_102401-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150810_102401-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here are are 11 things that I want to remember about Nathan at this age and stage.<\/p>\n<p>1. He loves playing with toy cars and moving them along the floor like he&#8217;s driving them.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0If he wants to entertain us, he shakes his head &#8220;No&#8221; with a huge grin on his face and he starts doing a deep throat cough, on repeat!<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zOv624f-rT0?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>3. He rough houses with his brothers like a three year old.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-7170\" src=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150801_124230_HDR-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Nate 11 months\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150801_124230_HDR-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150801_124230_HDR-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>4. He still loves to snuggle and put his head down on my shoulder or chest.<\/p>\n<p>5.He squeals with delight when he sees animals but freaks out if they come within a foot of him.<\/p>\n<p>6. He crawls as fast as his brothers run. He loves playing tag by crawling away quickly, stopping to look back, and then keeps going or loops back.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-7168\" src=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150730_103206-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Nate crawling\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150730_103206-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150730_103206-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>7. His first word and the only one he says is &#8220;BALL&#8221; He&#8217;s obsessed with balls and has since perfected his throwing. He probably throws (balls but really, anything) better than his older siblings.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-7165\" src=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150528_135928-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Nate with Ball\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150528_135928-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150528_135928-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>8. He loves to yell. He yells with excitement when he sees his brothers. He also loves to yell at animals, ants and inanimate objects like water, boats, cars and other things that move. Basically, if something is moving, he&#8217;s yelling.<\/p>\n<p>9. He&#8217;s the happiest baby I know. He giggles and has the best belly laugh. When he smiles, he smizes.<\/p>\n<p>10. He loves waving hello and goodbye by shaking his hand up and down.<\/p>\n<p>11. He puts absolutely everything in his mouth. Who needs a\u00a0dog when your baby will\u00a0clean up (aka, eat any food he finds on the ground)\u00a0their own\u00a0mess from the ground. He loves eating sand at the park and pretty much anything else that he can get a hold of.
