Even though I breast fed all my kids, having bottles at home was a necessity. During the first few weeks after giving birth, having a bottle around was like having a third hand. Through the means of pumping, the bottle provided me with the ability to sleep or have some alone time while my husband fed our sons. It also allowed me to heal since I had latching issues with my first born, Kyle. Eventually, the bottle became my replacement when I weaned my sons. In fact, our two and half year old son, Ryan, still uses the bottle exclusively. It provides him with lots of comfort in the morning, pre- and post-naps and before bed, so we are in no rush to take it away.

Our youngest son, our baby Nate, is going to be a year soon. Around 9 months, we started introducing cow milk as a supplement to his solid food and breast milk. My plan is to wean him off around 13 months as I had with my oldest two. Keeping up with “tradition”, we transitioned again through the use of a bottle.

I got to try out the Playtex Bottle and Nipple Gift set and it was such a smooth transition. Nate took to the bottle immediately and was even able to feed himself, which is nice because I truly need a third hand these days to get anything done. I also appreciate the unique angled design of the bottle. The bottle’s shape supports semi-upright feeding position, which helps prevent ear infections. Pretty neat, right?

What is so great about this gift set though is that it comes with four different types of unique nipples to help your baby find the right fit. Every new mom can attest to the fact that she would like to be less stressed and save money if she can. This gift box provides moms with both of those things.

The four nipples include:

While Nate doesn’t suffer from colic, I remember when Kyle did and I know of several other babies that do. If you have a baby with colic, the Playtex VentAire bottles can help reduce colic as the bottom vent helps reduce air ingestion. The bottles also work with Playtex Drop-Ins Liners are also uniquely designed to reduce colic are great for when you are on the go. The pre-sterilized disposable liner collapses like the breast to help prevent air from mixing with the milk.
