Living in Canada, spring doesn’t always mean SPRING. This year in particular it felt as if winter would never end as cold temperatures lasted well into the first month of spring. \u00a0While Toronto did finally receive warmer spring-like weather, other parts of Canada just recently experienced a big snowfall (YES, IN MAY!). This unpredictable weather makes it really hard to make plans for the great outdoors. Come rain or sun though, Canadians love to head outdoors for the May Long Weekend. \u00a0Whether exploring the city by spending time in the parks, going for a bike ride or truly escaping to one of our national parks, there is so much to see and do on this much awaited long weekend. \u00a0It’s basically the weekend that kicks-off summer. \u00a0Historically for us, May Long weekend is when we’ve opened up our cottage and celebrated the extra day off with family, friends, food and drinks onthe dock. \u00a0This year however, we’ll be away on vacation for the long weekend. \u00a0So while we’re not experiencing the typical Canadian May Long Weekend, we’ll be spending plenty of time outdoors exploring a great new city and country.<\/p>\n
