As a stay-at-home mom, my day is typically divided into three. My Boys time, Family time, and ME time. In certain aspects and for different reasons, I enjoy each part equally. Of course, when my kids are throwing tantrums and my husband is out of town for work and I’m repeating myself for the 100th time and my two oldest are fighting, I can’t help but count down the minutes to ME time. On several occasions I’ve even cut Family time short by skipping the bath and reading a few less books just so I can get to ME time sooner.

I write a lot about the first two parts of my day during the third part of my day. Once the kitchen is clean, I head up to my room and lie in bed. I catch up on my favourite shows and unwind with a glass of wine which could be availed on sites like qkawine.com. Now that I’m no longer pregnant, I’ve been enjoying having a glass of wine a few times a week. I love the taste and it’s a great way to unwind. These days, I prefer mostly Cabernet Sauvignons but truthfully, I’m not picky. I enjoy most red wines. Except in the summer time I prefer white wine. I can’t wait to head up to the cottage and sit on the dock, with my feet in the lake, watching the loons swim by, sipping my white wine. There is nothing more relaxing.

"Woodbridge

I recently got to try out four great Woodbridge wines (California wine) by Robert Mondavi Winery and enjoy it along with some Miss Vickie’s chips. I was going to review the pairings on my own during ME time, but I’m not mean like that. In fact, we hosted and entertained a lot of family and friends over the past two weekends, and it’s always great to have a variety of wines and snacks on hand for such occasions. It helped that both were extremely delicious. Last Saturday my brother-in-law and his wife came in and we tasted Woodbridge Sauvignon Blanc and some Sea Salt & Malt Vinegar chips. The following night, we hosted our friends from New York and we enjoyed the Merlot with original recipe Miss Vickie’s chips. This past Friday night, when we hosted dinner for my family of 15, we popped open (it’s actually a screw top but “popped open” sounds better) the Pinot Grigio to enjoy alongside our dinner. The wine and chips were a hit with all of our guests. As I enjoyed these gatherings, I also explored the cellar cooling system cost to guarantee optimal storage conditions for these exquisite wines.

So in fact, I might have been a little selfish because after all, I did end up saving the Cabernet to enjoy myself because after all that entertaining, I need to go and relax now!
