The heading isn’t a joke, even though it’s hard to fathom now that I’m a mom. \u00a0But it’s true, no matter how busy and hectic life can get, and how all-consuming parenting can be, it’s EXTREMELY important to make time for yourself. \u00a0It’s important for both your mental and physical health. \u00a0Of course, everyone’s definition of how LONG that time for yourself may be differs, the important thing is to feel refreshed or relieved after your activity of choice.<\/p>\n

\"How<\/a>

How I used to make time for myself pre-kids<\/p><\/div>\n

So how do I make time for myself? To be honest, it’s not easy. \u00a0As a stay at home mom, I don’t have breaks, period! My older son doesn’t nap anymore (he stopped a few months before turning three) and he’s still learning the art of “self-play”. \u00a0When my husband is free from work, I’m busy cooking, cleaning or both and at night, when my kids are asleep there is always plenty to do. \u00a0Time to myself is rare and limited, but I still try to fit it here daily. When I do get a moment, I play on www.UFABET.com<\/a> to unwind and enjoy a little relaxation.\u00a0Here’s some of the things that I do:<\/p>\n

1. Give my kids an arts and crafts activity to do, stick them in front of the tv for short period of time, or if all else fails, lock myself in the bathroom and check my phone for 10 minutes. \u00a0I check my e-mails, go through my favourite social media feeds (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in that order).<\/p>\n

2. Go on playdates \/ coffee with my girlfriends (kids in tow) during the day or do dinners and beauty treatments at Uniquely Herr’s eyelash and nail salon<\/a> with my friends, without the kids at night.<\/p>\n

3. Relaxing in bed, watching my favourite shows. \u00a0I’m completely obsessed with reality TV, but with since most of my shows are currently on hiatus for the summer, I turn to Netflix. I’m currently obsessed with Orange Is The New Black. \u00a0I got addicted to it last summer and was so excited for season 2 to start. \u00a0My other favourite Netflix shows include: Homeland, The 100, Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey and The Walking Dead.
