The current trending saying at our house is &#8220;We&#8217;re done with winter!&#8221; \u00a0The winter in Canada this year has broken records, but not in a good way. It&#8217;s been one of the coldest in my lifetime&#8230; even Niagara Falls froze over.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, the weather is getting &#8220;warmer&#8221;. \u00a0It was 2 degrees this past weekend and we wanted to take advantage of the weather and wish winter goodbye. \u00a0A few outdoor rinks are still open, so we went to skate around and play some hockey. While my son plays indoor hockey almost 5 hours every day, it feels more rewarding when he does it on the ice. \u00a0Did I mention that he&#8217;s only three years old and he dreams of playing in the NHL? (True Story).<\/p>\n<p>While I hung out with my one year old son, my husband skated around and practiced hockey with my preschooler. \u00a0Using my HP Slate 8 Pro, which is small enough to hold in one hand, I was able to capture some great videos of them taking advantage of the last few days (hopefully) of winter. \u00a0The HP Slate 8 Pro has an 8MP, auto-focus with LED camera that&#8217;s great for capturing our family memories. \u00a0When choosing a tablet or phone, the number one criteria for me is ensuring that it produces good quality pictures and videos reliably. It also has to be lightweight and fit perfectly in my purse for when we&#8217;re on the go.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/U5dl--mJbG8?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>One of the activities that we have planned over March break is to make a photo collage of all of the winter fun that we&#8217;ve had. \u00a0While we can&#8217;t wait for Winter to be over, we did try to take full advantage of it while it was here. \u00a0My son is very fascinated with our HP Printer and he loves using it whenever he can. \u00a0Together we&#8217;ll select some of our favourite winter pictures and make a collage. \u00a0My son is also slightly obsessed with &#8220;Show and Tell&#8221; in his nursery class so I know he&#8217;ll be excited to bring his finished product to proudly showcase to his friends and teachers.<a href=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Winter-Collage.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3993\" alt=\"Winter Collage\" src=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Winter-Collage-1024x1024.jpg\" width=\"584\" height=\"584\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Winter-Collage-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Winter-Collage-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Winter-Collage-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Winter-Collage.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>How are you feeling about this year&#8217;s winter?
