I remember my 16th birthday like it was just yesterday! While most of the day wasn’t out of the ordinary as I went to school and did what I would “normally” do, one thing will always stand out. First thing that morning I went to write my G1 test. I spent a month studying for it and I was as ready as I could be. I had a plan and I knew that I wanted to be on the road driving on my own within 8 months (the earliest I could get my G2 license).

While I passed my G1 test on my first try, statistics show that as many as 26% of individuals that took their G1 exam in 2012 did not pass. Unfortunately, not all teens properly prepare for the exam and they can miss out on some key safety requirements which would later on, make them more successful drivers.

As a parent, I’ll be the first to admit that it’s scary thinking that one day my boys will be on the road driving but I know it will provide them (and my husband and I) with much needed independence. Who doesn’t want that for their kids? Of course, safety is of the utmost importance

This is why I like the new site G1.ca. This is a FREE G1 practice test website for Canadians who are getting ready for the written portion of their G1 driving exam. The site provides several online practice tests that simulate the real G1.
