My guest reviewer, Alaina, is a busy mom and co-founder of purple monster coupons. She told me that her family suffers from dry winter skin and eczema so I put her up to the challenge. I asked her to try out three different Spectro skin-care products and to let me know what she thought of them. Here is her review:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Recently I was given a chance to try the Spectro eczema line. I was given two creams and a body wash. The first cream I tried was Spectro Dry Skin Cream. You can use this cream on both your face and body. I used it on my face. I have super sensitive skin that gets red and dry in the winter. I loved that I didn’t need very much. Its light and doesn’t feel greasy. It instantly hydrated all my dry spots where my skin was peeling. It was as if I never had dry peeling skin and the feeling lasted all day. The cream came in a squeeze tube which made it really easy to use.
The next cream I tried was the Spectro Dry Skin for kids. I love that Spectro is formulated for dry skin to begin with. I am absolutely in love with the fact that they make a whole line of creams for kids! My daughter is undergoing some therapy that required both her feet to be in casts for 6 days at a time. This means that those areas are not bathed and moisturized every day. Combine this with eczema and you have a recipe for disaster. I used this cream on her when it was time to take those casts off and I couldn’t have been happier with the results. The cream moisturized for 24 hours, was sent free, and non-greasy. Even her physiotherapist was impressed. This cream comes in the same type of tube as the adult version. This is my new go to everyday cream for my daughter.
I was also given the opportunity to try out the Spectro Dry Skin Wash for Kids. This wash is in a pump bottle. I let my kid brother in law try this one. He has only ever used the Spectro line to treat his skin. He is allergic to grass and hay and will instantly break out in open sores. Spectro is the only line that my my mother-in-law trusts to use for his skin but he has never had the Skin Wash before. He said that it left his skin feeling clean, fresh, and soft. An interesting thing about this wash is that you can use it wet or dry. Use it wet as a normal wash. Use it dry by applying it without water and wiping it off. It doesn’t leave an sort of film using it dry; rather, it leaves you skin feeling soft and clean.
I think it’s easy to say, Spectro is one of those brands that you can trust and use for your entire family.
Together with Spectro, one lucky Mayahood reader will receive a package of two Spectro Dry Skin Therapy Face and Body Moisturizers (one for adults and the other for kids), Spectro Dry Skin Therapy Body Wash for Kids and a pair of cotton moisturizing gloves, valued at approximately $50. Enter the giveaway via Rafflecopter below (please give it a few seconds to load). Contest is open to residents of the Canada. Contest ends Thursday February 13, 2014. Good-luck!
