recent posts<\/a>, I asked readers to leave me a comment describing the worst gift they ever received. \u00a0Some of the answers were funny, some were downright sad and some were very cliche (ie. vacuum). There were also a lot of obvious re-gifts. Most of the bad gifts seemed to have come from in-laws (shocker?!). Here are some of my personal favourites from the collection of ‘worst’ gifts.<\/p>\n– Chia Pet<\/p>\n
–\u00a0a rendering of The Last Supper on velvet \u2026 not even something I could possibly re-gift!<\/p>\n
–\u00a0singing wall fish<\/p>\n
–\u00a0a pair of thong underwear… given at the office gift exchange.<\/p>\n
– oranges<\/p>\n
–\u00a0Sardines as a joke gift but there was never a follow up real gift and I am a vegetarian<\/p>\n
–\u00a0a snuggie<\/p>\n
–\u00a0my mother in law bought me a scale<\/p>\n
–\u00a0My MIL put tampons in my stocking one year<\/p>\n
–\u00a0my brother took a photo of me and my newborn son and swapped our heads onto each others\u2019 bodies in Photoshop, then framed it.<\/p>\n
–\u00a0I once got a ball from my grandparents which actually turned out to be a dog chew toy.<\/p>\n
–\u00a0I got luggage for Christmas when I was 17!<\/p>\n
–\u00a0The worst gift was car wash coupons \u2013 and I don\u2019t own a car!<\/p>\n
–\u00a0I got a pair of pierced earrings and my ears are not pierced<\/p>\n
–\u00a0An electric shaver for my legs\u2026 From a boyfriend<\/p>\n
–\u00a0I had an elderly neighbour give me a stick of deodorant for xmas one year<\/p>\n
–\u00a0I got a box of chocolate with two chocolates missing<\/p>\n
–\u00a0My MIL gave me an ugly vase that looked like she picked it up at the dollar store.<\/p>\n
–\u00a0my husband bought me a brita one year lol. i looked inside to see if there was a ring or some kind of jewelry but no\u2026just a brita<\/p>\n
–\u00a0a dog calendar\u2026..really boyfriend, really!?<\/p>\n
–\u00a0hubby bought me chocolate \u2013 i\u2019m allergic to chocolate. turned out he wanted chocolate<\/p>\n
– expired chocolate<\/p>\n
– a broom<\/p>\n
–\u00a0a re-gifted piece of jewelry with the card still in the box!<\/p>\n
–\u00a0a maternity shirt as a gift when we were first dating!<\/p>\n
