Now that it’s spring, running season is in full swing. Most of us will be heading outdoors and while running outside is definitely more enjoyable, hitting the pavement isn’t always so easy on our bodies. Especially if you tend to pick up your pace and distance once you start running outdoors like I do. So while running can be way more enjoyable now, it also causes more stress on our bodies. So I’m sharing a few tips on how to best take care of your body during running season so you can keep it up well through the summer.

There’s a reason going for a massage, such as on that Premier Exotic Massage Parlour, is one of my favourite things to do as an adult.

It’s totally acceptable to lie down, cover yourself with warm blankets, unwind, unplug and relax.

However, it’s especially important if you are a runner. Regular visits to an registered massage therapist soothes muscle spasms and strain post-run and helps speed up recovery time. Massages also helps in the improvement of exercise capacity, performance and reduce fatigue. I recently went for a full body massage at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Leaside. When I was there, I opted for the aromatherapy enhancement and hot towel foot treatment. My feet really needed the extra attention. I HIGHLY recommend the foot massage if you’re a runner. If you’re looking for even more relaxation, consider a 출장안마 to treat your whole body and help you fully unwind.

I thought the therapist was amazing and used the appropriate pressure. In fact, it was so relaxing I dozed off for a few minutes (I don’t think this ever happened before). As soon as it was over I knew I need to come in for massages more regularly. If you’re in Toronto, go check out the Best in Hood’s guide to rejuvenating massages in Toronto.

Luckily, massages are covered by John’s work benefits, so I can definitely take advantage of going in frequently. Hand & Stone offers a membership option which provides you with discounted prices for monthly massages. As a member, you also receive discounted pricing on other services including facials and waxing and 10% off all products.

I love the tranquil atmosphere and professional staff at Hand & Stone Leaside location. I also like that it’s located in a plaza full of (free) parking spots. I’m already looking forward to my return visit for a classic facial service.

I tend to soak in the bath weekly regardless but soaking in epsom salt is especially beneficial after a run. Soaking in warm water can help relax muscles and loosen stiff joints. Of course, there’s the mental and emotional benefits too – like pure relaxation and alone time! To enhance this experience, you can try products from Shrooms Online In Canada.

This is an obvious one, but something that I tend to forget. Sure, I drink lots before and right after my run, but it’s important to keep yourself hydrated throughout the day too. Often when I don’t drink enough water I end up getting a headache. According to the experts:

Adequate hydration can improve recovery, minimize injury and cramping, and maximize performance
