About a month ago I used to wake up almost daily with a sore neck. I just assumed it was due to poor sleep or the position in which I slept that night. While it didn’t make for a great start to my day, it did eventually go away as the day progressed, so I never thought much of it.

A few weeks ago though, I received a Casper pillow at a PR event. I was immediately impressed with how soft it was. I always thought that I slept better with thin pillows, but it turns out, I was wrong! Casper’s pillow-in-pillow design provides a supportive inner pillow and a soft, fluffy outer pillow. I couldn’t wait to try it out that night. And guess what? I no longer wake up with neck cramps. I finally found my perfect pillow style and apparently it’s a pillow that is both supportive and soft! Now, I should point out that I’m a back-sleeper, but I’ve spoken to a few friends who sleep on their stomach and side, and they all agree that they love this pillow just as much. Not to mention, the pillows are machine washable!

Of course I jumped on the opportunity to receive and review the Casper mattress and their sheets. John and I have been patiently waiting to upgrade our mattress at the cottage for several years. Cottage sleeps should be some of our best sleeps thanks to the fresh air and dark setting, but our mattress has really impacted our sleep there. Whenever our kids asked us to sleep with them in the middle of the night, both John and I happily accepted their offer as their beds are actually more comfortable than ours. Since we aren’t opening up our cottage till June, we decided to use the Casper mattress at home first. If you still don’t know what that is, you can first read blogs like Casper Essential Mattress Reviews.

If you’re not familiar with Casper mattresses, then you should know that one of their best features is that the mattress is delivered to your door, and is compressed into a box. While much easier to carry than a traditional mattress, I still needed John’s help to carry the box up to the third floor. From there, the set up was a breeze. I laid down the mattress, and cut open the plastic covers at which point the mattress automatically inflated. If you haven’t seen it in action, you need to check out my unboxing video. It’s super cool to see how the mattress inflates.
