While we&#8217;re doing family stuff the first week, John will be back to work right after New Years Day, and I kind of panicked. But then I remembered that there&#8217;s so much to do in and around the city, including heading up north to Deerhurst Resort!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-12269\" src=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-resort-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-resort-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-resort-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-resort-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I took the boys to Deerhurst for the first time last year during March break. John was busy working, so I brought my mom along. We only stayed for the night, but we had the best time ever! There were so many fun activities planned for the break. The boys spent hours in the indoor play room that was full of bouncy castles.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-12265\" src=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-indoor-playground-684x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"684\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-indoor-playground-684x1024.jpg 684w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-indoor-playground-201x300.jpg 201w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-indoor-playground-768x1149.jpg 768w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-indoor-playground-300x449.jpg 300w, https:\/\/mayahoodblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/deerhurst-indoor-playground.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 684px) 100vw, 684px\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We also had fun going on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, swimming at the indoor pool, playing at the arcade (the boys favourite part), rock climbing, roasting marshmallows by the campfire, and skating at the nearby trail. Fun for them, sanity savior for me! Just like last time, my mom will be joining us again. When I told her, she was so thrilled to be going back.
