I have very vivid memories from my childhood of my parents drinking coffee. They would have a cup in the morning, one at lunch and one more before bed. Yes, that’s right, before bed! I don’t know if it’s an Israeli thing or if it’s because they drank instant coffee. Either way, I didn’t understand their love (yes, LOVE) for coffee until I became a parent myself. While I would drink it throughout University and as a young adult, it didn’t become a necessity until I became a mom!

It was more than just part of my routine… it was my sanity saver, my go-getter, waker-upper, it’s there when its time to get things done! Coffee (and a morning shower) helps me with all of that. I don’t want to sound like I’m going overboard here, but it’s my life saver after my husband and parents.

And just to make things official about how awesome, helpful and comforting coffee is, there is a whole day dedicated to it. Happy National Coffee Day to all of my fellow coffee-loving parents!
