I’ve written a lot about why my family loves Canada’s Wonderland. This will be our 6th year getting family season passes plus the 10+ years when I had them as a child! However, this year, there are sooooo many new and exciting things that are happening at Canada’s Wonderland. So if you haven’t gotten season passes before and are contemplating getting them this year, YOU SHOULD!! Here’s why…
Yukon Striker
Okay, where do I even begin… Yesterday I went to the park for the first time this season and I brought along my fearless friend for the ride (literally and figuratively). To say that we were both excited to try out the Yukon Striker would be an understatement. We were screaming when we watched others go on it! We decided that for our first ride, it makes sense to sit first row and centre and I’m so glad we did. The experience was amazing, thrilling and took my breath away (again, literally and figuratively). In case you didn’t know, the Yukon Striker is the longest, tallest and fastest dive roller coaster in the world! I think I finally started breathing again after the first 360-degree loop. It was so fun (and the line up was relatively short) that we decided to go on it again (this time in the middle row). Just as fun but slightly less terrifying the second time around. Either way, I highly recommend that you try out this ride if you love roller coasters as much as I do.
Gold Season Pass
New this year is the Gold Pass. For $104.99 (or 6 payments of $17.49), you get all of the regular benefits of the season pass, plus unlimited access to Halloween Haunt and the all new WinterFest! Canada’s Wonderland will be magically transformed into a winter Wonderland full of enchantment and holiday cheer! Read all about it HERE.
Regular season passes are still on sale for only $75, but don’t delay – prices go up after May 20th! It’s your best value if you plan to go to the park more than once. Not to mention, Canada’s Wonderland is basically two parks in one with Splash Works and rides throughout. The season pass gets you unlimited visits all summer long, discounts on merchandise, food, Bring-a-friend ticket discounts, early ride times and lots more. As a parent, it’s great because I don’t have to feel like I need to spend all day at the park. If my kids are cranky, tired or too hot, I can leave and know that I can come back and do more a different day. It’s basically a piece of mind at an affordable price!
