I remember my wedding day like it was just yesterday. I was surrounded by family, friends and loved ones, all there to witness the marriage between my husband and I. The day was fun, relatively flawless and went by much too quickly. I would do it ALL over again without changing a thing. EXCEPT… leading up to my wedding day, things weren’t as smooth. There’s a saying that bad things happen in threes, and true to its word, I had three things go wrong before my wedding.
1. Two weeks before our wedding, I thought I would check in with our officiant to make sure we were all set (to be fair, I had my hesitations about him to begin with). As luck would have it, his number was no longer working. Nor was his secondary number. After some shock and panic, my husband began to investigate and found out that the officiant had gone through a big loss. Since he was clearly in a state of mourning, I took matters into my own hands and frantically starting calling around to seek out a new officiant to marry us (after all, what’s a wedding day without officially getting married). Luckily, we found the most amazing, sweet and understanding officiant who was willing to marry us even though he was already booked that day.
2. Four days before my wedding I went to get waxed. I’ve gone to the same waxing lady for ages and the experience wasn’t new to me. For some reason though, that day, the wax was warmer than normal and I ended up getting burned in my arm pits. That’s right, I showed up at my own wedding with burn marks on my pits. AWESOME! #NOT
3. In an attempt to save some money, I purchased our wedding flowers from a local florist but I was responsible for delivery. Except, we didn’t realize how tall the center pieces would be once put together and didn’t think my car would properly fit and transport the arrangements without ruining them. Luckily, I outsourced the delivery to my husband and his brother who took care of it stress free. They even arrived safely! PHEW!
While I did experience some scary moments with my wedding, luckily, constipation was not one of those things. If you’re at all worried or just want to be prepared (and who could blame you), you need to get hold of Dulcolax Laxatives, which provides you with predictable relief.
To find out more about taking control of your schedule, and meet other great vendors that will help make your special day a reality, come out to the Toronto Bridal Show at the Direct Energy Centre (Hall C) taking place this weekend. I’ll be at the Dulcolax booth talking to soon-to-be-brides and taking their pictures on the big pink throne. I hope to see you there.
