It’s sad that a family is just having a good time, spending time with each other? Or it’s sad that you use them to escape your on troubles for 30 minutes once a week to get a good laugh? I don’t think it is sad at all, it is entertainment and they are laughing with us all the way to the bank.

People weren’t downgrading Green Acres for having a pet pug. Just because it is not “scripted” does not mean it is a horrible sign of the impending fall of the American Empire.

It felt like a morbid fascination. From the previews I’ve seen of Honey Boo, the family looks gross!

exactly. The fact that a show like this made it to TV and people (including myself) are watching it, is SAD!! maybe we just all need an escape from reality? or feel better about our situation? who knows… but it’s def. strange!

I was appalled to say the least. But that’s exactly what captured me. I ran through the same list of questions in my head and with each pondering I felt sick to my stomach, yet I could not stop watching. I have vowed never to watch it again (but I might just be lying to myself). Regardless, the thought of that family sickens me and sucks me in at the same time. What is this (my) world coming to? 🙂

At least Honey boo boo girl is cute, the girl on that show was throwing temper tantrums like she was some ..well never mind. She needed a really good spanking.
