Anything that makes life a little easier for a new Mom, or a Mom welcoming a new baby is a perfect gift. When my girlfriend had her 3rd, I was there daily to help her cook, clean, take care of the older boys so she wouldn’t be overwhelmed.

That being said, I love this idea. The recipient won’t care if it’s homemade or not – only that it makes their life easier and you cared enough to think of them! I’m definitely doing that next time. 🙂

I would suggest bigger sizes than new born though as those only last a few weeks. Food is of course always welcome, though personally I do prefer the clothes or toys or bedding.
