Shopping for the holidays with the kids? Mattel can help! Check out the Digital Shop ‘n Play at the CN Tower

Last week I took my sons with me holiday shopping!  And guess what? We survived!  My secret? I did my shopping at the pop-up Mattel Digital Shop ‘n Play at the base of the CN Tower.

ShopNPlay

Running until December 8th, the pop-up retail experience offers holiday shoppers an interactive shopping concept coupled with digital brand play, featuring the most popular toys available this holiday season. ShopNPlay apptivity

While I browsed through Mattel’s website on the giant screen, selecting gifts by product-type (i.e. Thomas, Hot Wheels, Barbie, etc…) and by age, my sons were happily entertained through high-tech toys.  My sons fell in love with the Little People Apptivity Barnyard. The iPad is inserted into the Apptivity case which includes a little barn, Little People, farm animals and their farming tools. When your child uses the farm tools on the iPad, they can see the impact it has on the land (i.e. flowers will grow when watered, and you can see the dirt move when raked). There was a similar high-tech game for the Hot Wheels which is just as popular with my three year old. Some of the other great games includes dancing along to Monster-High music and putting on virtual makeup.ShopNPlay Max Steel 1

Mattel makes holiday shopping feel more like a futuristic gaming experience versus a tedious task on a busy to-do list! Make sure to check it out and make holiday shopping a fun experience whilst kids are in tow.ShopNPlay Barbie Makeup

That is just so cool! I love how technology has opened doors for us to communicate, engage and have fun, and super proud brands like this have jumped in to teach our kids in unique ways, and of course make shopping fun for parents, too 🙂
