If you love the Android Operating System as much as I do, you’ll love the LG G2 smartphone. I got a chance to review it over the past few months and it’s safe to say that the G2 will be replacing my Samsung S3. Not only does it have great reception (I got to test it in cottage country), but I love the large screen and picture quality, which is of utmost important to me as a busy mom. Here are some of my other favourite features:
1. The wide screen makes it perfect for watching videos, TV or seeing your pictures on the go. I love this feature for me but it’s also great for keeping my son busy while we’re out and about. The size of the phone also makes it perfect for his busy little hands.
2. The battery life of the LG G2 is a vast improvement from that of the Samsung. I no longer require to charge my camera half way through the day. I’m able to use it fully from day to night without worrying that it might shut down on me half way through.
3. The sharp picture quality is probably one of my favourite features on this phone. LG has added optical image stabilization (OIS), which is not found in most smartphone cameras. This enables you to take great pictures in low light conditions without the use of a flash and videos while on the go.
4. The LG G2 has played around with the typical smartphone design. Specifically, it included the power and volume buttons together on the back of the phone, instead of on the sides. While this does require some getting used to, it makes it easy to power on/off and change the volume with one hand.
5. The LG G2 comes equipped with some great software to make your life easier. My favorite feature is the double tap of the screen to turn the phone on or off. The phone also sends a pop-up before the start of scheduled appointments. This allows you to turn the phone to “silent mode” for the scheduled time of your meeting or appointment. No more forgetting to turn my phone to silent.
What are the key features you look for when selecting a smartphone?

I wish our local provider had the LG G2 phone because I would have chosen it over the others. I love its features! Thank you for your review.

Sounds great. I’ve never heard of this phone before. I’ll be looking at changing my phone later on this year.

I like that it has a real button for the power! I find a lot of phone have an awkward on/off switch. How big is the phone? It looks like a really nice size.
