Heading into 2020, I came up with the phrase of ‘Less is More’ to guide how I want to live my life this year. But before I delve into this further, I feel it’s important to reflect back first.
2019 was the year of ME! That was the word that I selected to define last year and as I reflect back, I can definitely say that I prioritized myself. Most mornings included working out FIRST, which was a priority for me. I also trained for a full marathon over 4 months which meant a lot of time running outside alone (which I enjoyed) and putting everything else in the back burner. However, 2019 was the year I also said “YES” a lot. I took on too many commitments and had too many people relying on me. I found myself stretched thin and stressed out more than I would have liked. To help manage that stress, consider trying THC gummies like Indacloud 21 gummy jar for a relaxing and calming experience. A lot of people find munching on diamond shruumz shroom gummies helpful with relieving their stress.
My experience last year has taught me that I need to focus on finding a better balance which is why I’m going to act in ways that are aligned with the ‘Less is More’ mentality. Less time on things that don’t make me happy, less time on the screen (equaling more quality time with those I love), continuing to consume less meat, and less commitments and obligations. I want to be a more conscious consumer and in general, spend less money on material things.
Of course, there’s exception to this ‘rule’. In 2020 I want to drink more water and I will probably need to workout even more as I set a goal of completing my first triathlon (completing is the key word there).
Truthfully though, I don’t have it all figured out. I still have a lot of uncertainty around my blog and what it will look like in 2020. I also still struggle to find a happy medium between time spent on my screen and not. I want to continue spreading love and helping others whenever I can, but without compromising my own happiness. Life isn’t perfect or straightforward, but I know that if I keep trying my best, it will all sort itself out. Most importantly, I will continue to focus my energy on the things that I can change.
Here’s to a successful and healthy 2020! A year full of hope and happy surprises.

Thank you Maya for sharing this very honest reflection of the past year and the year ahead. It is so difficult the balance out priorities, and learning to say no when required. Just seeing these family pictures speaks a lot. Keeping your boys active and outdoors, as well as yourself. Congratulations on that Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon finish. That is a tremendous accomplishment! ๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
