A few weekends ago we celebrated Kyle’s 7th birthday. Leading up to it, we hummed and hawed throughout the summer to figure out where we would host his party. Last year we did a simple party in our home – but pre-renos. So while we didn’t care if 20 kids made a mess, I didn’t particularly like the fact that I had to plan all the details and take care of everything to ensure 20 kids had a great time. It was stressful to say the least. We’ve done the indoor play grounds before and we were just looking for a change of scenery, but something super fun and unique (and not at home).
Birthday party at Sky Zone Toronto
When we received the opportunity to host Kyle’s birthday party at Sky zone Toronto I knew it was the best solution! As I began preparing for his party, I realized that actually, there wasn’t much to do on my end. While it left me feeling like I was forgetting something, it was nice to know that someone else was taking care of all the details for me. That’s right – thanks to Skyzone’s birthday concierge service, you are left with little to plan or do. Besides sending out the invitations and making (or in my case – buying) a cake, everything else is handled by Sky zone’s friendly an knowledgeable staff.
Birthday packages includes an hour of play time (with a dedicated birthday staff), access to a private room, plates, cups, cutlery, two-slices of pizza, drinks and snacks like popcorn and chips. For an extra cost you can purchase items off their menu, which I did since we had a slew of adults joining us, I wanted to make sure they were well fed. I also ordered a platter of fruits and veggies and brought in my own coffee and gluten-free pizza and chips for one of my son’s friends. While I did make my own loot-bags, sky zone also offers you an option to purchase loot bags from them, starting at $6.50 a bag, which is a great deal.
We were honestly so impressed with our birthday host. She knew all the kids names and exactly where all of the kids were at all times, even though they were spread apart in the building. She also rotated her time between all of them ensuring everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. She also helped set up the table in the room, serve the pizza and cakes and take care of pretty much everything else in between. I have to say it was a rather stress-free birthday party for me considering we hosted 20 (hyper and full of energy) kids in a large venue.
Here’s just some of the fun stuff the kids got to enjoy while we were there:
