I don’t know about you, but the biggest change in my life happened when I had my first son, when I became a mom. Before becoming a mom, I had visions and dreams of what parenthood would entail. Some of my thoughts were accurate, while others were visions and dreams, but not reality. Becoming a mom was challenging, exhausting and hard. An experience so unique, that no one or nothing can truly prepare you for it. On top of it all, I was hit with the baby blues. The first year of my son’s life was definitely an “experience.”

More importantly, becoming a mom was the best thing I’ve ever done. It taught me how to be truly selfless and how to love unconditionally (well.. the toddler years taught me that). It showed me the true meaning of patience and what’s really important in life! It taught me that time is an illusion. Sometimes it goes by too fast, and other times, not fast enough. Motherhood is about the journey, not the destination. Above all else, motherhood is about filling your home with love and laughter in a way that’s totally unimaginable.
