I have two truths and a lie… can you guess which one is which?
- We bought a new crib when my oldest son was born
- We have used over 5 different strollers since our first son was born
- We are done having kids
If you haven’t figured it out, the lie is the first point! When I was pregnant with my first son, Kyle, a generous coworker offered me her crib since she no longer needed it. Not giving it much though, I happily accepted. To be fair, it’s been a great crib that we’ve used with all three kids. However, it is an older crib and has been used by at least five kids (that I know of). So when I received an opportunity to review baby gear products from Best Buy, I knew that I wanted to try out the Graco Rory 4-in-1 Convertible crib, even though it will only be used for our third and last child. He will still be in the crib for at least another year and a half.
What appealed to me the most is the fact that the crib converts to a toddler bed and the rails can later be used as a headboard and footboard for a regular size bed. I love the clean, sleek white, modern design and it was so easy to assemble that I did it by myself in under an hour (it would have been faster if my kids didn’t insist on “helping”). The best part is that the crib / toddler bed is affordable at only $369.99. Personally, I’m a big fan of Graco products so I’m sure that they put a lot of thought into the design and that the crib is made of high quality. If you’re looking for a convertible crib, I would recommend this one!
Now back to my stroller addiction… to be exact, we have owned six different strollers in five and a half years but have given most of them away to family and friends. We currently only use two strollers, one of them being this amazing umbrella stroller from Summer infant that I received to review.
The 3Dflip stroller, which retails for $144.99 is my absolute new favourite umbrella stroller, even compared to our other umbrella stroller which retails for approximately $400. It’s so great because similar to my previous stroller, you can use it with one hand to open and close. I mean, when do parents ever have two free hands?!?! The best feature is the reversible seat which allows your child to face you or face out! How neat is that? I love the face-in option for when my 18 month old son, Nate, naps in the stroller (which also has an awesome recline).
I also love that it’s easy to steer, has sturdy wheels, soft grips on the handle bar and a decent size storage basket on the bottom. It also comes with a nice and large sun-canopy with a velcro window on top and it comes standard with a cup holder. Did I mention that it ONLY retails for $144.99? The only thing I would say is that the seat doesn’t seem to have much depth to it, but my sons didn’t seem bothered by it and both Nate and my middle son Ryan, have enjoyed napping in it. Oh ya, it also comes with an awesome shoulder strap and it is lightweight, making it easy to carry around when needed (like subway station that aren’t very accessible).
Best Buy Baby Samplers Club
Did I mention that both of these products are available from Best Buy? They are and the best part is that Best Buy has a Baby Samplers Club where parents and parents-to-be can sign up for great perks like testing and reviewing baby products for free in exchange for writing a review. How cool is that? You can sign up HERE!
