My favourite fall fashion must-haves from JACOB

There are a lot of things to love about the Fall…. cooler weather, bright coloured leaves, Halloween, and pumpkin everything (latte’s, pie’s, you name it). For me, its the fashion. Fall fashion represents comfort, warmth, and coziness.

To update my wardrobe this season, I went to Jacob.  As I’m 8 months post-partum, my body is still not back to “pre baby” (will it ever be?) which is one of the reasons I love Jacob.  Their clothes provide a classic look for the modern women, regardless of age, size, or shape.  In fact, my mother has been shopping there for as long as I can remember and I have been a Jacob customer since high-school; all of my first power- suits are from Jacob.

While I love fashion, I don’t have time to look like I belong on the runway.  As a stay at home mom, the only people I have to impress are my little munchkins.  However, I do like to look put-together while being comfortable. After all, the majority of my day is spent chasing after my two boys before they get up to no good. My mission at Jacob was simple: I wanted to select a few fall basic pieces that are fashionable, comfortable, and can easily be put together with other pieces.

I picked a nice soft yet thick black legging (read between the lines, these are not your standard see-through leggings that you see teens wearing).  This is a great piece that can easily be dressed down or up taking you from morning to night.  It’s so comfortable you can wear it every day!

I also picked two very versatile and chic cardigans. The multi-wrap cardigan is a must-have for EVERYONE! I promise you, once you see it and try it on, you’ll want it need it!  It’s soft, stylish and it can be worn in five different ways.  This cardigan will stay in your closet for years to come both in terms of quality and style. 

The two tone wool cardigan just screams comfort.  Lose fitted and a great laying piece, especially for the finicky Canadian fall weather.

The last piece I picked up is the front wrap sweater in purple.  It’s a great every-day top over jeggings or perfect for a weekend chic look with some black pants. I wore this outfit to my last day at Blissdom (social media conference).
