We all know that having kids means big changes in your life. However, it doesn’t mean that you can’t “live” your life the way you want to. While I know that many people differ in the way they change their lives after a baby arrives, my husband and I decided that we would try to live according to our needs and wants as much as possible including our kids, rather than doing everything around our kids schedules. Of course our kids napped, but it wasn’t always in their crib and while they do have a bed-time, we are flexible if there’s a special family event (like our weekly family dinner on Friday nights with the extended family). We also didn’t want to compromise our social life including eating out, with kids in tow of course.
However, kids in restaurants is not always simple, especially if they are picky eaters or are tantrum throwing toddlers. So while in the past we’ve always based our restaurant choices on reviews and the uniqueness of the food, we now base it on speed of service, proximity to home, and how kid-friendly they are (i.e. do they provide colouring books, can our kids watch the iPad there, is there a play area for the kids, and so on).
That means we longer dine at some of our favourite restaurants, or at least not as frequently, which is a shame.
The good news is that now you can…thanks to Babylicious! It is the new Summer/Winterlicious event geared towards parents and their little ones. Beginning May 5th to 15th, Babylicious allows parents to embrace Toronto’s culinary scene through delicious prix fixe menus, while your baby is pampered with a complementary, 100 per cent certified organic meals, courtesy of PC Organics Baby Food. This foodie event is perfect for parents with children aged six-months to three years.
In addition, the PC Organics team is helping to create a seamless experience for mom and baby from start to finish by ensuring that each restaurant is fully prepared for their visit with everything from highchairs, to fully stocked bathroom change stations and child-friendly feeding utensils. Now that’s family-friend service!

Bon Appetite!

LOVE this!! Wish this was around a few years ago. While my kids are older now (youngest is almost 6), I’ll definitely be sharing this with my friends who have littles. 🙂
