G1.ca offers teens a great free resource to practice for the G1 test

I remember my 16th birthday like it was just yesterday! While most of the day wasn’t out of the ordinary as I went to school and did what I would “normally” do, one thing will always stand out. First thing that morning I went to write my G1 test. I spent a month studying for it and I was as ready as I could be. I had a plan and I knew that I wanted to be on the road driving on my own within 8 months (the earliest I could get my G2 license).

While I passed my G1 test on my first try, statistics show that as many as 26% of individuals that took their G1 exam in 2012 did not pass.  Unfortunately, not all teens properly prepare for the exam and they can miss out on some key safety requirements which would later on, make them more successful drivers.

As a parent, I’ll be the first to admit that it’s scary thinking that one day my boys will be on the road driving but I know it will provide them (and my husband and I) with much needed independence.  Who doesn’t want that for their kids?  Of course, safety is of the utmost importanceg1.ca

This is why I like the new site G1.ca. This is a FREE G1 practice test website for Canadians who are getting ready for the written portion of their G1 driving exam. The site provides several online practice tests that simulate the real G1.

G1.ca also launches the Sign the Pledge campaign. This campaign gives parents and teens the talking points needed to prepare for the G1 exam. Find out additional details about the campaign here http://g1.ca/got-your-g1/parent-teen-driving-contract-be-safer-and-drive-smarter/.

How cool is this, if only we had this when we were preparing for our test! I have a 16 year old niece and nephew who could definitely benefit from this. I will be emailing them the link, thanks so much for sharing!

Thankfully this is a long way away for my kids! I wish something like this had been available when I was learning to drive though.

I wish we had the G1.ca practice test when I was 16! I’m excited that the almost-16 year olds in my life will be able to benefit from something like this. Thanks for sharing!

I totally look one of the tests earlier today! And I scored over 90% – not bad!
A great resource for those looking for some practice before going to write “The Big Test”
