Spring is here (the season, not the weather) and it got me thinking about Summer. Specifically, that I need to sign up my boys for summer camps. This mama is not ready to spend two full months at home with my three boys. I love them, but I need my space and alone time. More importantly, they need their independence and time to run around, socialize and so much more than I can give them at home. While there will definitely be plenty of weeks with no plans or camps, I still want to make sure I have something planned and it’s in a camp that they will actually want to go to. For us, that option is True North Sports Camps.
Kyle has been going to this camp for the past three summers, and last summer, Ryan joined him as well. They both went for two weeks. I think my favourite parts about this camp, besides the fact that the kids were active and spent a lot of time outdoor, was that their was a big focus on sportsmanship, team work, and leadership. What really sets this camp apart from others is their staff. They were playful, helpful and always made the kids feel like they belonged.
This year, I have all three boys signed up for baseball camp. However, when Ryan recently found out that Soccer camp is also an option, I think we might be switching him into that camp. That’s the beauty of True North Sports Camps. There’s an option for everyone, no matter what sports they play (or don’t play). In Toronto, Summer camp options include baseball, flag football, soccer, basketball and multi-sport. True North Sports Camps also offers programs in Etobicoke, Hamilton, Markham, and Whitby.

Have you heard about their flag football camp? Just wanted to know if it was any good for a 13 year old.

I haven’t actually. All I can say is that the staff there are amazing. I would give them a call and see what they say. Good luck!
