I don’t know how, but it snuck up on me… next week is the start of school. Normally, this wouldn’t be a big deal because 1) I’m not in school and 2) my kids are too young for school. Except this year…. this year my oldest starts (junior) Kindergarten. I honestly can’t even believe I’m typing these words. I remember that most of last year I was dreading this day. As a stay at home mom, spending almost every moment with my son, I knew the transition would be hard. Not just for him, but for both of us. Not only that, but he’ll be there ALL. DAY. How will he survive?
But of course he will. He’s not the first kindergarten student, he won’t be the last, and they all survive and thrive and grow and learn. Not to mention, once we found out we were expecting our third (due any day now), I realized how much easier it will be for me once my oldest is in school. He needs the stimulation, to let out his energy and I was afraid with two younger ones under two, I wouldn’t be able to give him the proper inspiration and attention that he would require.
So apparently, getting ready for back to school requires some preparation and organization. We received a list of things we need to send with our son on his first day of school including a backpack, Velcro sneakers to keep at school, extra set of labeled clothes and food. But when you’re in denial, these things kind of slip through the cracks. Luckily, I got some help from Stuck on You which offers plethora of items that will help you get ready and organized for back to school. Here are the items I selected: Tools for school, ABC activity book, 123 learning book and most importantly, school labels value pack (school starter label pack).
To help my son get excited about going to school, I asked him to help me get his backpack ready and label his water bottle, lunch-box and shoes. He had fun selecting which labels to use and where to place them. Personally, I love the design options and all of the different colour options that are available. The label set came with labels of varying sizes and shapes perfect for clothes, shoes, products and more. It’s great that one company has enabled ME to feel ready for the start of school even though I still can’t believe it. Quality labels should be an essential component of every product, which is precisely why opting for Brother DK compatible labels is a valuable investment that ensures excellence in labeling.
As a newbie, I could use some tips. What do you do to get ready for back to school and how early do you get ready?

I see all comments said backpacks. My boys refused to let me buy new ones (they are weird). I buy lots of spiral notebooks and 1 inch binders. Thank you
