Let’s face it, when you become a mom, a big part of your personal ‘style’ changes. Comfort becomes your ultimate friend immediately after labour and beyond. You spend hours on end on the floor with your infant and the years following chasing after your kids. But just because we seek comfort, it doesn’t mean we need to sacrifice style. Almost right after I became a stay-at-home-mom, I made myself a promise that I will dress up every day regardless of what I was doing. I stopped wearing yoga pants and sweat pants. Just to be clear, there’s anything wrong with either of those, and I still own and wear both styles on occasion. My decision was more based on the fact that if I dressed up, I would feel better about myself. So while I don’t wear business casual clothes anymore (I’ve given away or donated every business attire clothing I’ve ever owned), I don’t dress frumpy either.
But comfort…. comfort is key.
So what do I wear? I find pieces that are flattering, are in style, and are soft and comfortable. I wear skinny jeans and soft flowing tops instead of skin tight shirts and trousers. Instead of hoodies I wear cardigans, leggings with long sweaters and dresses in the summer.
I was recently introduce to a new line that launched in Canada, Leave Nothing but Footprints (LNBF), and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all. I’ll be honest, when I first glanced at the pictures online, I wasn’t sure if I would be impressed with this clothing line. But what the pictures lacked, the clothes more than made up for it when I tried them on. Not only are they super de duper comfortable (yes, I said “super de duper”, that’s how amazing they are), but they are stylish too!
I had a hard time narrowing down my choices to just three pieces. I was ready to purge my closet and replace it with everything from LNBF. I decided to choose a dress and two tops, all three pieces are versatile enough to take me from day to night.
Here is me wearing the dress on a recent trip to Disney World. I wore it for a morning event and then throughout the day when visiting the parks. It looked great paired with both flats and runners.
I wore the tunic top to an evening event at Disney but I’ve since worn it out several times in the city including when we hosted family and to a recent trip to Canada’s Wonderland.
Similarly, the third top is a great every-day shirt that feels like you’re a little more dressed up but is super comfortable.
With a focus on sustainability, you can feel twice as good about wearing this brand. LNBF clothes are made from eco-friendly bamboo and organic cotton fabrics. You can find both casual and active looks that will last you for seasons to come and as styles change.
What’s your go-to mom uniform?

You look great as always and I love all the pieces. Something I would have never thought to like is that black crop top with sheer detail but I am drawn to it. I live in leggings but now that it is summer it capri’s and a tank for me.

They are all very nice, and you look good in all of them, but sadly I don’t think they have my size.
