How often do you go out shopping for house-hold items? I know for me, it’s a weekly chore if not more. I may be out of eggs one day only to realize I’m out of milk the next. Same goes for house hold items. I stock up on cleaning supplies just to realize a few days later that I’m out of garbage bags. As a busy parent, this isn’t the most efficient way to shop. However, I hate hording or buying unnecessarily, so I only shop when I need something. That being said, there are certain items that we use so regularly, that a monthly purchasing cycle would save me from running out of certain household essentials. I was recently asked to try out Amazon.ca’s new subscription service called Subscribe and Save. The concept is simple, yet pretty brilliant if you ask me. Here’s how it works:
Amazon.ca Subscribe and Save Service
1. Select an eligible item from one of the following categories: Health & Personal Care, Beauty, Grocery, Home & Kitchen, Pet Supplies with over thousands of products to choose from. I purchased my favourite conditioner, Kitchen Scrubber, Rinsing Agent, laundry detergent and a fresh scent booster.
2. Choose quantity & delivery schedule
3. Click Subscribe Now & your order will be activated
I would recommend purchasing a total of at least 5 items so that you can receive a 15% discount on your entire purchase. Of course, there’s always free shipping with this service, regardless of the amount of items or quantity that you purchase.
While I loved the selection and the ability to shop from the convenience of my home all for a reasonable price, there were a few household essential items that I use that weren’t available when I placed my order such as. toilet paper and more environmentally friendly cleaning supplies. However, it does appear that new items are added everyday and that toilet paper is now available for purchase through this purchase.
Some of the great benefits include:
- No commitments, obligations, or additional fees and you can cancel at any time
- Pay only when the item is shipped
