If you have a baby, more than likely you have a drooler on your hand. Whether as a newborn or while teething, drooling is part of being a baby. While the drool is part of nature’s course, it’s not always easy to deal with. Specifically, there are the wet clothes and if it’s due to teething, there is usually an unhappy baby too. While my boys didn’t drool much they were both obsessed with their pacifiers. This lead to a whole new host of issues including but not limited to dropped, dirty and lost pacifiers. With my first son, he was almost three years old before we were able to wean him off. My youngest son, Ryan is 14 months and we’re starting to think about weaning him. So? How do we go about doing it?
There’s a super cute, new and fashionable product that’s available to help with both the drooling and to bypass the pacifier. Cheeky Chompers Neckerchew was developed by two moms in the UK after they witnessed their own and their friends’ kids struggle with drooling and dropped, dirty and lost pacifiers. The bib’s fabric is jersey cotton that is reversible and the attached teether is made of silicone that will never flake or peel. The Neckerchew is super soft, fashionable, reversible and includes a soft chewy triangle at the end. Truly, it’s not a bib, but rather, a fashion accessory.
I tried the Neckerchew with Ryan and not only did he look super cute, but he enjoyed chewing on the soft and safe chewy teether. I think that this will really help us wean him off the pacifier in a “painless” manner for him (and us).
The Neckerchew is available in a variety of colours and 9 different fabric designs. They retail for $22.99 (for the patterns) and $19.99 (for the solid colours). They can be purchased online at Babies “R” Us. This would make a perfect gift for a baby shower or a perfect product to help sooth your drooly baby.

The little boy I babysit is teething and drools like crazy! I go through several bibs a day with him.

oh is there a kid anywhere that doesn’t drool like a sink? 😉
I always use a washcloth
this actually seems like a fantastic idea to catch it all and keep them entertained too!!

This would be perfect to have! This would be easy to throw in the diaper bag and have on hand when we are out and about and this would make things more simpler at home as well. I think this product is great and speaks for it self. My little one goes through so many bibs a day and we have so much teething toys he has and throws on the floor constantly. This would make me feel at ease knowing what he is putting in his mouth is clean!

My daughter uses a pacifier. she doesn’t dribble too much, unless several teeth are coming in at once. We have several teething toys to help as well.
Brianne says
No pacifier, but definitely drooling. I just use cloths.
Teri St.Thomas says
never used a pacifier and cloths for dabbing up the drools
Juliee Fitze says
She only has her pacifier when she goes to bed now . Always had a small towel handy for the drools.
Ruth2Day says
that is a very clever idea. Hope it works out well for you and Ryan
Silvia D says

My daughter was a huge drooler when she was teether. I loved the drool bandanas that I got as a gift, but these would have been even better!
Andrea says
I have cloths all over the place, ready to get those drools and drips
Yuen Ch says
Use cloths that are reusable to combat drooling.
Eldon says
I use old rags as cloths to wipe messes.
tammy campbell says
I would have receiving blankets everywhere for the drool
Angela Mitchell says
My daughter didn’t drool for long but son hasn’t stopped heavily drooling for months. We use bibs, teethers, and often just have to change tops a lot.

mine dribbles.. i use a kleenex. if she is really bad from cleaning i would give her a bib
Viv Sluys says
Before i had kids I was couldn’t figure out why so many newborn and 3 month outfits came with matching bibs… after my first baby was born I definitely understood! We just used a lot of bibs and constant wiping with receiving blankets with her. With our second and third babies we got amber necklaces which majorly reduced drooling!
Katy Emanuel says
My daughter was not really a fan of pacifiers but we went through tons of bibs. We did find that her amber necklace seemed to help with the drooling.
Tennille says
My son was so bad when he was little! Hopping to win this for my friends son!
