Just a few weeks ago, on a rainy Toronto day, my sons and I were at an indoor playground jumping in the bouncy castle. As my four year old son was about to come down the slide, a mother said to her son “Watch out, the little boy wants to come down.” Without flinching, my son immediately replied “I’m a BIG BOY!” The women was kind enough to correct her timely advice and informed her son that “The BIG BOY wants to come down.” I have to say, that I was proud of my boy for standing up and speaking out about what he believes in. Sure, it’s not life changing, but it’s important to him and I was proud.

Since my son has developed this independence and a need to be considered “Big” I thought he would truly enjoy reading a book about himself as a big boy.
