Back to School Fashion with Carter’s | OshKosh B’gosh

It’s August, and whether or not we want to think about it, it’s almost time for the kids to head back to school.  Personally, I might be doing a little happy dance when my eldest son Kyle starts school this September.  Having all three boys home with me this summer has been fun, but very exhausting.  It will be nice to receive a “break” and only have two kids to entertain, come September.

My son will be entering Senior Kindergarten this year, so while he doesn’t require too much in terms of pencils, paper etc…(do school aged kids still even need these things these days?), there are a few items I will need such as a backpack and some new clothes.  September is also Kyle’s birthday, so we’ll be moving a clothes size up. In fact, I already feel like we’re stretching out (pun intended) the longevity of his current clothes.

I like to buy him clothes that will last him through the year and hopefully withstand tough stains and rips so they can become hand-me-downs to his brothers. I want to buy him fun and fashionable clothes to match his style (yes, he has one) and personality, but without breaking the bank. When I told Kyle that we were going back-to-school shopping he was so excited…a boy after my own heart!

We headed to Carter’s | OshKosh B’gosh. In fact, I’ve been shopping there since Kyle was a newborn.  We LOVE Carter’s PJ’s and they’re pretty much the only ones my boys wear.

Carter’s | OshKosh B’gosh had such a great variety of price conscientious clothing to choose from.  They are colourful, stylish, diverse and include options for sporty, preppy, dressy and casual wear. I honestly had a hard time narrowing down what to buy. I would have easily walked out with one of each if I could. I liked the variety of tops available for $8.  I selected two hockey themed ones since Kyle is obsessed with everything hockey.  

I also picked a sports outfit that includes a few florescent details on the hoody’s zipper and along the pants’ sides.  

According to my son, the pants were all very comfortable and I liked that they all had an adjustable waistband.

 

Kyle definitely has a preppy side to him.  His favourite tops to wear are plaid button down.  I only purchased one but I know I’ll be going back to get a few more in different colours.  I also think he likes wearing them because they are similar to my husband’s style and he likes to match him.

I also checked out some of the great clothes available for girls.  I love the fashion as the clothes appealed to me too.  It appears that back to school fashion for girls includes a lot of my favourites like leggings and floral tops.
