I remember grade six vividly. It was a sort of coming of age in every sense of the word. Girls were becoming Women and boys… Well, most boys were still 12 year old boys.
Funny… or oddly enough, my friends and I actually celebrated when we each FINALLY got out period. For those who got it later on, we would celebrate by decorating lockers with congratulatory drawings and attaching streamers. No one was hiding it or embarrassed by it. Weird, I know, but not bad considering I went to a private school.
The one thing that we didn’t talk about was which brand of pad is best to use. I’m pretty sure everyone just used what their mom used. It was easy and accessible. You didn’t really think twice about it. I remember watching commercials of period pads which involved an absorbance challenge with competing brands. I always wondered about the legitimacy of those. So when I was asked to take the Stayfree Challenge I didn’t hesitate.
Here’s a video where I compare the protection of Stayfree thin pads against two other competing brands. The results were truly amazing. See for yourself here:
So while I typically only share parenting or kid friendly reviews and recommendations on my blog, I felt it was just as important to share this with other women. Wouldn’t you want great protection after all? So… after seeing the results would you make the switch? I know I will!
