Valentines Day is just around the corner. While in the past, I used to dream of chocolate, roses and a nice night out with my husband, I now dream of peace and quiet from my kids. Here’s what I REALLY want for Valentine’s Day this year from my kids:
10. Wake up without crying
9. Eat the food I serve them and not ask for cereal instead. Every. Single. Time
8. Throw ZERO tantrums
7. Don’t hit, head-but, jump on, or kick one another
6. Actually get dressed / put on their winter gear when asked, and not after the 100th time when I’m yelling and shoving them into their coats.
5. NAP but if I’m really being honest, I mean, nap at the same time for more than 45 minutes.
4. Clean up after themselves
3. Say “please” and “thank-you” without being reminded
2. Play nicely and independently for more than 10 minutes.
1. Go the F$*# to sleep so mommy and daddy can enjoy some alone time (aka drink wine and binge watch Suits).

Sounds like our boys are very similar in age… that’s probably why you can relate! Hope you had a great v-day too.
