If you’re expecting your first child, you’re probably over the moon and a little overwhelmed. There is nothing more exciting (and nerve racking) than planning for life with a new baby. One of the more enjoyable parts of pregnancy for me was creating a baby registry. Not only are there so many cute things to look for, it helps make life with your soon-to-be baby more of a reality. A registry is helpful to get organized for when baby arrives, but also makes it easier for loved ones to purchase something for your new bundle of joy. I remember that when I created my registry over four years ago, I had to physically go to the store to do everything. There were also only a few stores offering baby registries so I was limited in what I could receive or ask for instead of getting what I REALLY wanted.
Baby registry now available on Walmart.ca
Fast forward to today, and there is a great new option for your baby registry. Walmart Canada has recently launched an online baby registry. You can create and manage your registery entirely online and share it with your family and friends. Best of all? Walmart’s program includes free standard shipping on all products. Your registry can include essentials like diapers and wipes, strollers and car seats (including the Graco SnugRide Click Connect that I have for my newborn) and everything in between. While everyone’s list of must-have items for newborns differ, you can check out my favourite items in this post. Another great feature included in the registry is the Baby Resource Centre which includes expert advice, helpful tips and relevant articles on topics ranging from how to throw a great baby shower to buying a car seat to creating a safe sleeping environment for baby.
Personally, I’m excited because I already do a lot of my shopping for my boys at Walmart. I purchase everything from clothes to diapers to shoes to school supplies at the local store and online. This is just another great way to shop for your loved ones.
What would you say is your must-have item(s) for newborns?

I really wish that they had a registry way back when. I know now that baby stuff is expensive and Walmart just has better prices for me and my family. I’m glad they have brought it back! Must haves are burp cloths, diapers and a few newborn clothing items

I have to say, I am out of the baby making business but I certainly wish that I had a registry when I had my kids. Great idea.

I really like how convenient this is. Most communities have a Walmart, or live close to one. For those who don’t – Walmart has FREE shipping 🙂
Thanks for the reminder.

Well it;s no secret that Walmart saves people money. I started shopping there when my babies were small because everything related to them is less money there. A baby registry makes sense and is a good idea for expectant parents.

It is an awesome initiative on Walmart’s behalf – makes gift giving so much easier. And, it helps people get what they really need and want.

I wish Walmart had this option when I had my kiddos. They are a much more affordable option then other stores!

great to know! I was thinking of doing a registry but am sometimes disappointed with the BRU registry.

Wow, I didn’t know that Walmart has a baby registry now! I love how Walmart is always coming out with new things like how they brought produce and grocery a few years ago! It’s definitely a one-stop shop
