There is Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Run all of your errands Sunday (yes I just made that up), Cyber Monday & now, most importantly, there is Giving Tuesday!
I am definitely a consumer, a big one. I’m passionate about brands and quality but I’m just as passionate about giving back to those less fortunate. While some of us give regularly, some of us sometimes need a reminder or an “excuse” to give-back. That’s why I love that today is Canada’s first annual Giving Tuesday.
There are many ways to give back and I love people’s creativity when it comes to paying it forward. You can give back by providing a lunch to a homeless person, donating a holiday gift to Toy Mountain or by volunteering or donating money to a charity of your choice. CanadaHelps.org makes it easy to give back by securely donating online to any registered Canadian charity. It’s so easy and no amount is too small.
Unfortunately, we’ve known a few families over the last few years who had children with brain tumors. As a parent, I can’t even begin to imagine the kind of hardship this caused on the family but even more so, having to see one’s child suffer so much. That’s why I wanted to donate to a charity that focuses on brain tumors. All you have to do to donate is search for a charity, enter your donation amount and personal information and a tax receipt will be sent to you immediately upon completion.
If you feel thankful and fortunate for all that you have, both in health, family, and material goods, please consider donating via CanadaHelps.org
